THE SIGN PROJECT
THE SIGN PROJECT represents a bold leap forward for the Republic of Ceneda, born from an ambitious vision by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Vice President to put our historic center back on the map. Launched in August 2025, this initiative focuses on enhancing local tourism and territorial promotion by installing high-visibility signage at the town’s main entry points, such as the South/Motorway access and the North/Center intersection. Despite being a grassroots effort, the project successfully ignited a massive public conversation, reaching thousands of people on social media and even capturing the attention of the City Council and the local press, proving that even small-scale campaigns can significantly impact how our community is perceived and navigated.
The creation of these signs was a true labor of dedication, blending sustainable craftsmanship with a professional aesthetic to ensure Ceneda’s identity stands out. Our team utilized reclaimed wooden panels, meticulously prepared with white spray paint and hand-finished using custom stencils in the classic Transport Heavy font to mimic authentic road signage. Evolution was key to our process: while the first version (v0.1) proved our concept’s durability against the elements, the subsequent v0.2 and v0.2.1 generations introduced more systematic production methods, including 110×80 cm dimensions and the inclusion of our official Coat of Arms, ensuring that every sign serves as a high-quality beacon for residents and visitors alike.
